WORD

You will be instructed on the functions of WORD; formatting, settings, paragraphs, styles and editing.


EXCEL

​Learn the functions of EXCEL; spreadsheets, cell calculation, logical formulas, creating budgets, and incorporate charts.


OUTLOOK

Acquire the skills needed to operate the functions of OUTLOOK; email, calendar, task manager, contact manager, note taking and reminders.


POWERPOINT

Learn the processes of POWERPOINT; create electronic presentations consisting of a series of separate pages or slides. Create a slideshow presentation and how to present your ideas in a dynamic and visual way.


ACCESS

Learn the ACCESS program and functions. Manage large amounts of information and manage related data more efficiently than EXCEL.

This individualized training will consist of eight (8) weeks of training in the Microsoft Office programs of your choice.


You may spend all eight (8) weeks in one, two, or three program components or obtain basic training in all components.


There will be an instructor on-site providing assistance to you as you learn the program(s). The training will include 6 weeks of MS Office training, 2 weeks of soft skills development, and resume creation.


After successful completion, you will then be moved into job development where you will have job placement assistance; Job search, fill out application, mock interview, and apply for a position(s) of your choice.​​

The Mission of Diversity Placement Services is to empower people with disabilities in finding and maintaining competitive employment in their community. 


PURPOSE


Diversity Placement Services will work to enhance the lives of persons receiving
support services by assisting them in coordinating services and completing a functional employment assessment (Discovery and Exploration), job development, job coaching and follow along services.  We will strive for excellence through demonstration of ongoing quality improvement based on customer satisfaction and results achieved.

To facilitate career choice and provide support and training to each person to reach their desired level of independence, integration and inclusion.

To utilize education and training to promote positive attitudes in employees and in the community towards employing persons who have disabilities.

Maintain high quality standards of service delivery by meeting or exceeding accreditation standards.
Respecting the rights, choices and dignity of all people.
